It’s October, which means I’m going to try to do as much Inktober as I possibly can. Usually I don’t post my dabbles in digital art here, but since this one had Edgar Allan Poe and Lewis Carroll inked all over it, I figured this was as an appropriate venue as any.
As I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with Inktober prompt #5: Raven, I read that Carroll didn’t write the riddle with the intent of having an answer, which I think is interesting.
One answer I saw posted somewhere was that neither was made of cheese. I mean, if we’re going to use the absence of something as a form of comparison, I guess that works.
If I had to answer it, I’d probably say something about the darkness of both the raven and the ink used to produce writing on the desk.
How would you answer the riddle?
