I just happened to be up early enough this morning that I caught a tweet from Kellee Moye about this blog hop hosted by Unleashing Readers.

I’m glad I did.

I think I’m drawn to this hop, which I’m going to make a concerted attempt to actually do weekly, because it’s hosted by two educators I respect greatly.

And so, here we go.

My wife and I like to listen to audiobooks as we fall asleep, and our favorite narrator is Robin Miles. Hands down. Periodically, when we need a new audiobook, we search Audible for books she’s recently narrated. Kingdom of Souls by Rena Barron came up. Most of the time we don’t listen to books where Miles affects an accent, but this one sounded soothing, so there we are.

It’s also YA. And it happened to be on my TBR already. And as a bonus, I found the audiobook and the ebook at the library, so we can listen together and we can both go back individually and read the bits we missed because we fell asleep.

What are you reading this week?

What a cool tradition you have of listening to books with your wife. My husband and I sometimes do that too. It’s always fun to be on the same page. 🙂
And this looks like an interesting read–what a beautiful cover!

I’m about 25% of the way through and I’m loving it. We’re both sci fi, fantasy, and afrofuturism fans, so she makes for a great reading buddy. 😀 Thanks for stopping by! What are you reading this week?

I like to listen to audiobooks as I fall asleep too, but I usually listen to something I’ve already finished, or something that isn’t so intriguing that I can’t fall asleep for wanting to know what happens next. These days it’s mostly Discworld titles by Terry Pratchett.
Have you listened to Robin Miles do Caste? It was so frigging brilliant!
