Without intending to, I went on a blog hiatus, neither writing nor reading, mostly because testing is exhausting and I didn’t want to do anything when I got home from work.
Testing is over now. I’ve upgraded my Planet Fitness membership so I can make use of the hydromassage as I attempt to fix the damage done to my body over the last two weeks. After Thursday’s make up sessions, I was afraid I would throw my back out if I had to be a test administrator anymore.
What’s nice is I’ve had a lovely long weekend. We hung out with friends and played games, went to an Easter egg hunt, and took a trip to White Sands National Monument, which is like going to the beach in the middle of the desert (minus the water).
I am thankful for the time off. I haven’t finished any books yet, but I don’t feel bad about it. I’ve been catching up on the podcasts I’ve been neglecting for the last two weeks, as well as organizing myself so I can start working on my dissertation again. It’s nice to feel like I’m in a place of productivity.
Here’s wishing all of you a good week. And for your entertainment, here’s a grown man on a backyard-zipline. Happy reading!
Welcome back.
