Hello, readers! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by our friends over at The Broke and the Bookish, is some variation on the meeting authors theme. Here’s my response in 60 seconds.
I totally forgot to mention that I’ve also met Ben Sáenz. He came and spoke to T’s Family Therapy class after they read Ari and Dante.
Who have you met and/or who would you love to meet?
So… I didn’t end up being able to meet Maggie Stiefvater last weekend 😭 because I couldn’t find a sitter and bringing 5 and 7 to that would have been DISASTROUS. 💣 I feel like I’m going to have to go to Orlando or Atlanta to meet any because I never have and there have only been 2 here in the past year, both of which I had to miss. (MG and Lynne Matson)
I would so, so love to meet Angie Thomas, Leigh Bardugo, Rick Riordan, Roshani Chokshi… The list feels endless. 😂 Great post!

Speaking of Rick Riordan, I just started listening to The Trials of Apollo because I heard there’s a bisexual character and I need more bi representation in my life. Have you read it?

I haven’t! I want to because I too need more bi representation in my life. But him for me…. Because Percy Jackson has ADHD in a way that’s comparable to 7’s. Usually, I can separate the author from the work but I can’t help be grateful for what he gives 7 when we read or watch. It’s the first good representation we’ve found for him.

Yes! AS King is a literary genius to me. Such a good list, and seriously! lunch with Schusterman. That’s awesome.

It was. And I totally agree about King’s genius. I’ll buy whatever she writes. Thanks for stopping by!

Great that you got to meet some amazing authors already! I haven’t met any authors yet, but I’d also love to meet Maggie Stiefvater, though I forgot to put her on my list… So many great authors out there to meet. Hope you’ll still get to meet everybody on your wish list some day!
