Dear Reader,
Way back in December, I said that one of my New Year’s reading resolutions was to blog more.
It’s March. Clearly I haven’t yet started.
In my defense, I’ve been neck deep in linguistics, which I teach at one of our local universities. And I’ve been having a blast. I also teach structured literacy to elementary school teachers. Apparently I’m having fun with that too.
It occurs to me that, though this blog was originally conceptualize as a blog about young adult literature, it’s mine and I can do with it what I want.
And so I was thinking. Maybe what it takes to get me back into the blogging habit isn’t trying to force myself to write about YA lit, which I do still love, by the way. Instead, it’s writing about whatever language relate thing, whether it be literature or linguistics or the ways in which we use language in society. Whatever’s at the forefront of my brain.
Let’s try that, shall we?
Right now, I’m reading this:
And my fun fact from this reading is this:
What have you been reading? Been up to? All those good things.
Leave it in the comments and I’ll see you there soon. Until then, I’m the (book) supplier wishing you happy reading. Don’t forget to be awesome.
