Calligraphy Masters Challenge Day 6: Create

If you weren’t aware, calligraphy and hand lettering are things I’ve been into for a while. I don’t post most of it here because I don’t always make the connection between calligraphy and books, but for this challenge, I thought it would be fun if I could come up with one or two picks that somehow tie to the word of the day.

I enjoy watching cooking shows, so when I thought about today’s prompt, that’s exactly where my brain went. There’s something about the chemistry of cooking and baking – taking foods and spices and flavors and putting them together – that I find just magical.

So here are my “create” picks for you:

  • With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo
  • Somewhere between Bitter and Sweet by Laekan Zea Kemp
  • A Pho Love Story by Loan Le
  • We Can’t Keep Meeting Like This by Rachel Lynn Solomon

What books do you think of when you hear the word, “create?”
