And one knows it’s time when the following comes in the mail:

I’m excited to present the Konigsberg Award on Saturday, run tech for the reception on Sunday, and virtually hang out with a bunch of educators who are also excited about sharing literature with adolescents on Monday and Tuesday.

While I am sad that we can’t meet in person and I’m bummed that I don’t get to watch my friend Morgan make book trades for people (something found quite amusing), I am happy that we were able to have a workshop in an online format.

Discourse is a little more challenging. There isn’t any hanging out after a session. It’s definitely harder to network. But we still get to come together around books, and I can’t imagine any other bookish thing that is better.
