It’s been a week. We were traveling, there were plane problems, and we were stuck in a few airports for longer than we intended. And we’ve moving my mother-in-law in with us. The situation gives me some Curveball: The Year I Lost My Grip (Sonnenblick, 2012) vibes. Which is tough.
In reading news, I finally got around to making myself a template for Sticky Note Reviews, which means I’ll start posting my backlog soon. I’m actually pretty excited about it. Simple things, right?
Since I last posted for IMWAYR, I’ve finished Empire of Dreams by Rae Carson and Come On In edited by Andi Alsaid and posted Sticky Note Reviews for Grown by Tiffany D. Jackson and The Cost of Knowing by Brittany Morris.
This week, T and I are listening to and reading Mister Impossible by Maggie Stiefvater, the second book in The Dreamers Trilogy.
It’s likely that I’ll finish it today or tomorrow, so I have Stay Gold by Tobly McSmith on deck. It’ll be a reread for me; it’s our July #ALANReads book chat book. Our first chat was fun and I’m hopeful that we’ll have more people next time.
That’s it for me. I’m going to enjoy the little bit of summer I have left (read: do the things I need to do to be ready to go back to work) and adjust to the new normal in my house.
