One thing being sequestered at home means is that I have time to wander through the Internet. It was in that wandering that I happened upon today’s poem, “Tootsie Roll Racism” by Collin Edmonds. He’s a poet I wasn’t previously familiar with, but after seeing this performance, my next foray into the world of slam poetry on the Internet will involve finding other poems he’s written and performed.
I’ve never done anything for National Poetry Month before. I’m glad I decided to this year. I’d forgotten how much I love slam poetry.
So submitted for your approval, “Tootsie Roll Racism” by Collin Edmonds.
