Happy Saturday, readers!
It’s book blogger hop time, hosted by Billy at Coffee Addicted Writer.
My biggest challenge for the year is maintaining my book journal. So far, so good, but when things get busy… that’s when my creative endeavors tend to fall by the wayside.
Speaking of creative things, I’m learning hand lettering this year. It’s my reward for finishing graduate school and finishing the assessments I had to create at work. Most of my creative pieces, I’m posting over at @inkyeli on Instagram; I’ll try to remember to include them in my blog posts as well (because, naturally, they’re all bookish). The art is pretty rough – not at all polished – but I’m learning to be patient with myself and remember that continued practice will result in progress. I’m not going to improve if I don’t try and I don’t practice. I’m proud of the process.
I hope you all have a great reading year. If you have 2020 reading challenges (or any other kind of challenges) you’d like to share, put them in the comments.
Happy reading, and don’t forget to be awesome!
The only challenges I’m really doing are Goodreads, LibraryLove, and Modern Mrs. Darcy’s Challenge. I might join in a few readathons throughout the year as well.
