New Kid | Sticky Note Review

I can’t remember why I went looking for New Kid by Jerry Craft at the library again (I read it back in February), but I did, and found the audiobook.

I should tell you that New Kid is a graphic novel about a Black kid who goes to a new school wherein he is one of few Black kids. There’s commentary about microaggressions, about the assumptions we make about people, and about fitting in.

I loved it when I read it, but really wasn’t sure how it was going to translate into audiobook format.

Well, let it be known that I’m a sucker for multi-voice pieces. If you didn’t know, now you know.
