There was a point in time when I was embarrassed to say that I like YA romance. There was a point in time when I was embarrassed to say that I like rom coms.
That time is no more.
The best thing about vacation reading for me is traveling with a light YA romance, preferably involving nerds of some sort (I’m looking at you, Queens of Geek). The first summer my wife and I drove across the country, I read When Dimple Met Rishi. Another summer, I read Everything Leads to You. At the end of last summer, I read The Summer of Jordi Perez.
Clearly, this is a thing.
This year, I’m doing something completely different and reading a short story collection with Life’s Library, Stories of Your Life and Others by Ted Chiang, but I’d like to have at least one YA romance on hand just in case. That said…
