I read You Don’t Know Everything Jilly P. by Alex Gino and loved it. So when I was in need of a middle grade audiobook, I went back to Alex Gino’s book that I hadn’t read yet, George. George is the story of a nine-year-old trans girl who isn’t out, and who wants to audition for the part of Charlotte in her school’s production of Charlotte’s Web. 

Out of the gate, I want to tell you that this is not a one-star review that’s going to say that fourth graders aren’t mature enough to know about kids who are transgender.
