When I was working on the methodology section of my dissertation, one of the things I did was reread the novels in my study, noting places where I had reactions and interrogating those reactions.

About halfway through, I thought it might be interesting if I continued to do this with novels I wasn’t reading for my dissertation – sharing those visceral reactions in the blogosphere.

Some of it might be me going on a random tangent about an association. I’m okay with that. Some of it might be English teacher-like explication of some symbol or allusion I found interesting. I’m okay with that too.

I decided that I’m not going to impose a lot of structure on this, and I’m not going to try and force myself into a regular schedule – I’m going to go with the flow and see what comes of it.
