I’ve never been in a situation where I wasn’t allowed to have a book. I take books with me everywhere — in my pocket, on my phone. They are an integral part of my existence.
Today I have to report for jury duty.
In a situation where there is the potential for hurry-up-and wait, taking a book with me makes natural sense. Especially since I have so many I want to get through. I also can’t have my phone, so no digital books either. Does anyone know why I can’t have a book?
The phone thing I get. The book thing, not so much.
Also, have you ever been in a situation when you weren’t allowed to have a book with you? What did you do?
How strange! When I got called for jury duty, I brought a book AND my computer.

Well that’s not fair.

Not like that, no. I’ve been grounded from reading before, though? Lol.

That used to happen to my cousin. He’d get into some mess and my aunt would take his kindle away.

I honestly don’t know what I would do if I wasn’t allowed anything to read. How horrible.
