If you were stranded on a deserted island, which ONE book could you not live without?
This one was tough. I mean, I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, and When the Moon Was Ours is my favorite book, probably of all time. But I think if I were stuck on a deserted island, I’d want a feel-good book to get me through the doldrums of solitude.
That said, I think I’d have to go with The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. Albertalli’s books are books that I go to when I can’t sleep or I’m feeling grumpy, because even though it’s about surly teenagers (this might be an exaggeration), they still make me happy. Also, I love the moms in this book.
If you’ve read my last few posts, are you sensing a theme? I might be single-minded right now.
