Summer TBR | Top Ten Tuesday

I almost didn’t do a Top Ten Tuesday post this week, I’ve been a little caught up with work. But since I finished most of what I needed to get done this morning, I thought I’d hit you with my Summer TBR. These are either the books I’m currently reading, or the books that I have on hold that I expect to be reading soon.

Here’s what I’m reading this summer. #toptentuesday

A post shared by eli oldham (@thebooksupplier) on

  1. The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X. R. Pan (YA) – I picked this one up on a whim when I went to the library for something else.
  2. See You in the Cosmos by Jack Cheng (MG) – I added this one to my TBR today after I saw it in the Kid Lit email from Book Riot.
  3. Speak No Evil by Uzodinma Iweala (Adult) – This was recommeded to me by Kate Olson. I’m currently reading it.
  4. The Pants Project by Cat Clarke (MG) – I added this one to my TBR for the same reason I added See You in the Cosmos. Thanks, Book Riot.
  5. We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves (Adult) by Karen Joy Fowler – I’m reading this one with The Nerdfighteria Online Book Club. We’ll discuss it in August.
  6. Every Watering Word by Tanya Manning-Yarde (Poetry) – I’m reading this one for review. I haven’t done that in a long time.
  7. Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir (YA) – I’ve been waiting for this one. It’s on hold.
  8. Restore Me by Tahreh Mafi (YA) – I’ve been waiting for this one too. I didn’t know there was going to be another book in the Shatter Me series.
  9. Binti: Home by Nnedi Okorafor (Afrofuturism – Adult) – I’m waiting on the audio for this one. I loved the first.
  10. From Twinkle with Love by Sandhya Menon – Currently reading/listening to this one.

  1. The title of We are All Completely Beside Ourselves is just so intriguing to me… like I didn’t really know much about the book when I encountered it (shelving books at the library where I work) but I haven’t been able to get the title out of my head… I may have to pick it up just because of the title.

Hope these all go well for you!

  2. I must get my hands on Speak No Evil. Beasts of No Nation is one of my all-time favorite books. I had not realized the author had another book out. I look forward to your thoughts on Every Watering Word. I am always on the look out for good poetry collections. I hope you enjoy all of these, Eli. They all sound good.

  3. When Dimple Met Rishi was somewhat meh for me, so I’m not really all that eager to get myself a copy of From Twinkle, With Love.. Guess I’ll wait for some reviews to pop up before I make up my mind permanently, ha.

The Astonishing Color of After is on my wish list. I’ve heard good things about that one!

    Happy reading!

  4. I’ve seen SO many good reports on Sabaa’s books, but haven’t read them. Maybe someday! One I cannot wait to read is “From Twinkle, With Love.” It looks SO cute. 🙂

Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland.
