I’m linking up with Billy at Coffee Addicted writer for this week’s Book Blogger Hop. This one is going to be quick. Probably. This week’s question comes from La La @ La La in the Library
Do you remember the first book you read by yourself?
The short answer is no. I don’t.
I remember the first YA book I read when I started teaching reading 12 years ago. I also remember the first book I read with my favorite book buddy. I also remember the first book that inspired my dissertation. But all of these books were read in my adult life. Alas.
What about you? Do you remember?
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I feel like with me being a reader, I should remember the first book I’ve ever read by myself. However, I don’t remember specifically the first book I’ve ever read on my own, without my parents reading to me. I do remember reading many book series like Baby-Sitters Club, Boxcar Children, Nancy Drew, Animorphs, and the first Harry Potter book, as a child, and those books fueled me to read more on my own. Tears of a Tiger by Sharon Draper. It was the first book that I bought for my classroom.
