There was no doubt that I was going to pick up Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli. Loved Simon. Loved Upside. So naturally…
Also, I’m totally a grown up version of Abby Suso minus the charisma (and plus intimidation, apparently). After this, I totally want a book from her perspective. I actually feel bad because I’m less interested in Nick than I am with all of the other characters. I wonder why that is. The Upside of Unrequited is still my favorite, but mostly because I want to be friends with Nadine. Leah on the Offbeat definitely didn’t disappoint.
I read this one at the beginning of the month and it was good. It didn’t blow me away because Leah was such an annoying character, to me, at least.
