The Beauty that Remains was one of those books for me that was a right book at the right time. It’s about three teens who are each grieving the loss of someone close to them, and they come together through the music scene.
I read this the week before I left the classroom for a district-level position. Not the same kind of grief, but grief nonetheless.
I have certain books that I go back to when I’m sad and/or grieving something – Harry Potter, When the Moon Was Ours. What do you read when you’re sad?
