Hello Readers!
I hope this last week treated you well. This week, my story concerns trolling. Specifically, another way in which one of my 8th graders, let’s call him The Waterboy (for reasons he’ll understand) trolls me.
So The Waterboy watches my videos, for better or worse, and he’s apparently taken a liking to my end screen. This is not uncommon. A number of people have told me that they like my end screen. But he has decided that the best way to troll me is by playing my own end screen ad nauseum. At least it’s not while I’m teaching, I suppose, but I do find it mildly exasperating.
Last week I read Dread Nation by Justina Ireland (review will be posted this week), and Paper Girls Vols. 1 & 2 by Brian K. Vaughan. ICYMI on the blog:
- Top Ten Books I Will Never Reread,
- A Sticky Note Review for Rebound by Kwame Alexander,
- The Friday 56 on Tyrell by Coe Booth, and
- a Book Blogger Hop answer to the question, “What fictitious town would you live in?“
On my Sunday #Bookstack this week
That’s my stack for this week. One thing I want to start doing, for reasons that will be explained later, is start reading at least one picture book a week. Anyone have any suggestions to get me started?
The Book With No Pictures by B.J. Novak. It has no pictures, but it’s still a picture book. It’s hilarious and fun to read.

Yeah! I read it to my 8th graders a couple of weeks ago. It was the most hilarious thing. Thanks!
