I picked up Disappeared by Francisco X. Stork on a whim. I think I was at the bookstore to get Dear Martin, happened to see that Stork had a new book out, and that was that.

This is another that I think my students will be able to identify with. I think it’s sad that some of them deal with the kidnapping and murder of family members at the hands of the cartels, but I also think that through these texts there is a sense of community and the potential for deeper understanding. This is the same way I feel about my Big 3 right now.

I tried something different with the photo today. The caption is a summary of the text, rather than a transcript of the sticky note. We’ll see how well this works.
