First things first: One of my students is currently reading Ghost by Jason Reynolds. This morning, when we were talking about it, she said she wasn’t sure she was going to like it when she started, but she’s really into it now. This makes my reading teacher heart happy.
Here’s what I thought.
#bookaday Ghost by Jason Reynolds. #stickynotereviews I loved Ghost. Jason Reynolds is a master. Story has good pacing and a protagonist who reads like a middle schooler. There are so many points of entry for this story even if you're not a fan of track. Ghost is a relatable character who, in many ways, reminds me of some the students I work with. His behavior struggles are so real.
