I wasn’t going to read this book because everyone was talking about it. And if I’m honest, I saw it at Target, and I’m always wary of Target’s book selections (they tend not to stock many POC authors). As such, I made an assumption about Everything, Everything that turned out to be wrong. Here’s my review.

#bookaday Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. First, if instalove isn't you thing, this is not for you. Second, I hadn't planned on reading it, but minus pegging the twist about halfway through, I enjoyed Everything, Everything. Even though Maddy and Olie's relationship was instalove, I believed that Maddy would latch onto the boy next door after such limited human contact. The images – the multimodality, told parts of the story so much better than the prose could have. And finally, BOOK BEFORE MOVIE! #snrtbs #blackbookblogger
