Every year, our school has a book fair. What’s nice about our administration is they give teachers money to use at the book fair to build up our classroom libraries. While I’m pretty happy with the three bookshelves that make up my classroom library, there’s always space for more books. Here’s what I picked up.
- The Zodiac Legacy (Books 1 & 2) by Stan Lee, Stuart Moore and Andie Tong
- Scythe by Neal Shusterman
- Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth
- Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie by David Lubar
- Sophomores and Other Oxymorons by David Lubar
- Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
- Dork Diaries (Books 8 & 9) by Renée Russell
- Augie & Me by R. J. Palacio
- Unfriended by Rachel Veil
- Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom by Lynda Blackmon Lowery
- Ghosts by Raina Telgmeier
- Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
- Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard
- Ghost by Jason Reynolds
- Shadowshaper by Daniel José Older
- The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo, Book 1) by Rick Riordan
- The Hammer of Thor (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, Book 1) by Rick Riordan
- The Blood of Olympus (The Heroes of Olympus, Book 5)
Hopefully my students will find these books as exciting as I do. Happy reading!
I always loved the Scholastic Book Fair!

It’s one of the lovely things about being a middle school teacher – I still get to experience these things. And it’s always awesome to see books that I love at the fair so I can share them with my students.
