I haven’t read any of these yet, though some are on my 2017 TBR. A few of them I had to request the library order, so it might be later in the year. I’m hoping to start the Raven Cycle series in February because I’ve heard so many good things! Thanks for the new book recommendations!

I looooved Symptoms of Being Human; that was such a fantastic book. A few of the others are on my TBR, especially Shadowshaper. I bought that one a couple of months ago but haven’t gotten to it yet. I definitely want to read it soon though since so many people seem to absolutely love it. 🙂

I’m excited for Daniel José Older’s writing career. Makes me want to go read his adult series (I can’t remember what it’s about). I didn’t realize I liked urban fantasy so much, so if you have recs like Shadowshaper or Labyrinth Lost, shoot them my way.

My librarian raved about All American Boys. Glad to see it’s made some lists!

Definitely with the read. It’s actually the inspiration for my dissertation. What are some of your favorites from this year?

Right now, I’m reading Jacqueline Woodson’s Brown Girl Dreaming. It’s so well written that I imagine her other works must be great too.

She’s amazing. Seriously. Another Brooklyn is her first foray into writing for adults after spending umpteen years writing for children and adolescents. Happy reading!

The Raven King was easily my favorite series finale – and I really enjoyed Shadowshaper on audiobook. 🙂

Thanks for visiting my blog earlier.

I’ve actually not read any of these so I see my TBR growing a bit after reading your post 🙂

Oh man I’m so excited for Scythe – Unwind is possibly my favourite book of all time, and although I haven’t loved his other works that I’ve read so far as much (but I have SO much of his to read still!) they’re always excellent books!

I agree that nothing else Shusterman has written compares to the Unwind Dystology. Although, I don’t feel like we can compare Challenger Deep to anything else. I hope you enjoy Scythe as much as I did. Happy reading!
