Sometimes it’s nice to have someone else tell you what to talk about, so today I’m linking up with Coffee Addicted Writer to answer the Book Blogger Hop question. This week’s question:
When you settle in for the night with a good book, do you read until you can’t stay awake or simply have a nightly page goal?
Honestly, whether I stay up and read, or put a book down for the night depends heavily on what I’ve got going on the next day.
I’m a teacher. Middle school. And if I’m not bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, my 13 year olds will eat me alive. I also live an hour away from my school, which makes for very early mornings.
If it’s the weekend? I’m going to read as much as I can. Last night I stayed up to finish A Torch Against the Night, which I wrote a review for yesterday. I didn’t want to put it down.
In terms of page goals, I prefer to stop reading at the end of a chapter rather than after a certain number of pages. This way, it feels more like there’s closure. Though, to be fair, it does suck when a chapter ends on a cliff hanger.
What about you? Nightly page goal? Read ’til the candle goes out?Β
