Trace brought me back Boxers from her trip to City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco, then bought me Saints not long after that (I think it was in the same order as  Who Fears Death). Now, admittedly, I know nothing about the Boxer Rebellion in China. We never studied Chinese history in school, so now I’m curious. Leave some links for further reading in my Evernote file for these books.

#bookaday Boxers & Saints by Gene Luen Yang. I went into Saints hoping the story would end differently. Hoping that war didn’t really make murderers of children. But that’s not the way war works.
