When my carpool finished Insurgent a couple of weeks ago, I went to the library to pick up the audiobook for Allegiant (I’ve owned the hardcover since it came out). I’m in the reading place where I want to finish series that I start or have started, so moving forward with this one made sense.
I actually read it over the course of three days, starting with audio, finding my place in the book, going back to the audio, and finishing up with the physical book. Clearly, format doesn’t make a difference to me. It was nice to be able to continue to engage with the story when I was doing things like driving or grocery shopping.
#bookaday Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I enjoyed the political and social commentary in this one. I also think the end makes sense. The power relationship between the GDs and the GPs kind of mirror that which exists in our world. I would have liked more about the ethics of such a large scale experiment on humans though.
What were your thoughts about Allegiant?
