I don’t often read nonfiction (this is beginning like any post I write about a historical fiction book). Recently I’ve been very interested in civil rights, inspired by a number of events in current events. When I saw this The Port Chicago 50: Disaster, Mutiny and the Fight for Civil Rights by Steven Sheinkin in a list on Tumblr, I knew it was one I wanted to read. It’s easily accessible, I think. I’m glad I picked this up on yesterday’s trip to the library.
