At Some Point, I Stopped Writing

…and I find this to be problematic.

I’m currently in the process of relinking blog posts, and I’m reading things I wrote five or six years ago and wondering what happened to the person who wrote all of those blogs. Then I remembered.

Graduate school. Vlogging.

So I’ve decided that I need to search out my blogging roots and write something regularly that isn’t a paper or a book preview. I need to remember how to put my own thoughts on paper (so to speak). This will be good for me when it comes time for comps and dissertation. I know it will.

A friend of mine told me that he would write for half an hour every morning before he did anything else. Sometimes he wrote about his reading, sometimes he wrote creatively, and sometimes it was stream of consciousness.

It’s time for me to find my inner writer again. I miss that person.
