Garrett, the main character of Boot Camp by Todd Strasser is stolen from his bed in the middle of the night and taken to Lake Harmony, a boot camp for troubled teens. There he is beaten, humiliated, and abused because he feels like he’s done nothing to deserve his sentence and thus does not become what they want.
