The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is one of the most popular books about the Holocaust in World War II in my collection. There is an innocence about Bruno, who we follow from Germany to Poland because of his father’s job, a job that Bruno doesn’t fully understand. All he knows is that his father is important. In his explorations he finds a fence, and strikes up a friendship with a boy he meets who lives on the other side of the fence.
