Forced Reinvention

Evernote File for Hush by Jacqueline Woodson

Have you ever wanted the opportunity to completely reinvent yourself? That’s what happens to Toswiah Green when her family has to go into the witness protection program after her father witnesses a hate crime at the hands of law enforcement. With a new name and living in a new city, Toswiah, now Evie, is trying to figure out life while her father sits depressed by the window, her sister makes plans to leave and her mother throws herself into church. For more info, check out the book talk below. If you can’t see the video, try scanning the QR code at the bottom of this post.
