Book Preview: Almost Perfect

Almost Perfect
In Almost Perfect by Brian Katcher, Logan isn’t looking for a relationship. He’s just been cheated on by his girlfriend. But when Sage Hendricks sashays into his life and becomes his friend, he’s rethinking his relationship hiatus. And then Logan finds out that Sage has a secret. A secret that leads him to disown Sage until he comes to terms with that secret.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. It’s the second book about a transgender teenager that I’ve read. Overall, I liked it. Felt for the characters. And then, I found myself surprised that one of my students asked about it–she doesn’t like the book she’s reading, had read the back of mine and decided she wants to read it. So it’s going back in my bag for Monday. I’m interested in having conversation with her about it.
