Peace, Locomotion is the companion novel to Locomotion (which I do not currently have in my library). Lonnie Collins Motion, aka Locomotion, is twelve and he’s currently in the system. He and his younger sister have been placed in different foster homes, and while Lonnie is happy that they’re both in good homes, he struggles with finding a sense of family. Lonnie writes letters Lili, reflecting on their time apart, on the past, and on family, love and loss. This is a beautiful novel about a boy’s attempt to connect with a sister he no longer lives with and come to terms with his life as it is.
