Book Preview: The Rose That Grew from Concrete

The Rose That Grew from Concrete The Rose That Grew from Concrete by Tupac Shakur
Paperback, 150 pages
Lexile: NP

This is a collection of poems written by Tupac from 1989 to 1991, published posthumously. The most interesting feature of the collection is the side-by-side of copies of the poems in Tupac’s own handwriting and the typewritten text (image below). The poems tackle issues ranging from romantic love to politics. An interesting read, especially for those who only ever saw Tupac as a gangster.IMG 0369
